The Fremont Street Experience (FSE) is a pedestrian mall and attraction in downtown Las Vegas. The FSE occupies the westernmost 5 blocks of Fremont Street, including the area known for years as “Glitter Gulch,” and portions of some other adjacent streets. The main attraction is a barrel vault canopy, 90 ft high at the peak and four blocks (approximately 1,500 ft) in length. light shows are presented on the canopy and live concerts (usually free) are performed regularly on two sound stages. it is a major tourist attraction in Vegas.
The Fremont Street Experience was conceived in the 1990s as a way to draw more people to the ailing downtown gambling area. It is owned and operated by a group of downtown hotel/casino companies (comprising 10 hotel/casinos).
But there’s a darker side to Fremont Street; while under the bright neon lights is still relatively safe, FSE and all of the downtown streets and casinos off the Strip are not Accorded Neutral Ground and the same supernatural rules are not in place (the Unseelie Accords are still in effect, as everywhere, but the Compact is not).
